Inspired by the principles of modernism, we represent design-led homes across the UK that pay attention to space, light, materials, nature and decoration. Our Home

To accommodate our rapidly growing team, we moved our headquarters in 2018 to a former ecclesiastical building in Southwark, London, renovated to a design by TDO architecture and furnished with bespoke pieces by British designers Faye Toogood and Max Lamb. Flexibility is at the heart of the design, allowing us to engage with our community through talks and events, and uphold our company culture with film screenings, yoga classes and team lunches.

An authority on good design

Our name is inspired by F.R.S. Yorke's celebrated book 'The Modern House' (1934), which introduced Modern Movement architecture to a British audience. As the agency has developed, we've become recognised as experts on modern architecture and design. We have gone on to publish two of our own books on the subject, and our co-founder Matt Gibberd has written a third book on the five timeless design principles that the homes we sell tend to pay attention to.
